Why do goblins fear elves
He just said "Smash them in the face in just about every battle they go into". So why don't they fear Khornate Warriors? Do you see how irrational all your arguments are? Why are women scared of mice and cockroaches? I just know where my duty lies when one when turns up. The whole concept of Greenskin Courage is a farce. Every single greenskin is psychically sensitive in an innate way.
Large numbers of them generate Waagh energy and when they reach a certain psychic critical mass they are empowered by the raw energy of the Waagh flowing through them. Now the counter point to this is the Elven race. They are the anti-thesis of the Waagh. They are also an innately magical race but they radiate Harmony instead of the greenskin discord. They negatively impact on the greenskins Waagh.
Orcs and Trolls can ignore this impact through a mixture of dim wits and brutal savagery and snotlings are so unthinking they are not perturbed by this occurrence. Goblins however are a special case. They are the smartest of the greenskins but lack the brutal savagery of their larger cousins. They basically need lots of other goblins with them to counter-balance the Elven aura while other Greenskins can counter it in other ways.
Iron Warriors are just pursuing their own vindictive, bitter agenda as usual Originally Posted by Wintertooth. Have you been reading this forum for long? Has any of you been forced to the perfume section of a store? Or worse, an actual perfume store? I'd rather castrate myself with a rusty saw than go there again. Now think of a mobile perfume store. With shiny blades. That's about to kill you. And you have a very large nose. That's elves for you. Heres how it works: You charge a unit with fanatics. You move to 8" of the goblins. You resolve the fanatics movements.
Resolve the hits to the unit if there are any, 1d6 hits per fanatic. Move the unit into CC. Resolve the hits if you run over any fanatics 2d6 hits per fanatic if I believe correctly. These wounds do not count toward combat resolution as it happens before you are in combat.
So, whatever happens, the fanatics are released before I even get to b2b with the troop they are in? Even if it's on my turn? Yes, whatever happens; while fanatics are in the unii tthey WILL be relieased when you get within 8" Its what harpies are for.. Dakka 5. Member List. Recent Topics. Top Rated Topics. Two bolt throwers are enough to put teh Dragon on his tush, to keep him honest. You'll need one unit of Fanatic-Launchers per unit of Knights he brings Two units, two Night Goblin units with Fanatics You aren't gonna win the ranged combat war, so, instead, work with what you have Take two, give 'em scythes, and let 'em go to town with double-team charges.
Forget Boar Boys. Repeating Boltthrowers kill 'em too fast. For your infantry units, take Orcs with an additional hand weapon.
Plain ol' Boys can get the job done against Elf Spearmen, trading of Toughness for teh shieldless state and double-swinging with teh fornt line to keep casualties on par. Since you cost less, you can usually hit a unit of Elves with Orcs If you want to pull his magic phase away bring Mork's Spirit Totem. No fanatics, they get in your way, and hamper your movement. If he has an eagle and a fast cav and goes first, he'll spring most of them before you move. Netters, netters, netters.
Silver helm lances aren't as scary if they are only S4, and the ponies are S2. Spearmen at S2 are laughable even in 3 ranks 2 Snotling Pump Wagons, 2d6 S4 Impact hits will do wonders against spearmen. Squig Hoppers, allows good movement, and when they hit knights they are damn scary. General Black Orc, Effigy of Mork, whatever else you want.
I would not suggest magic Weapons, as he's armed to the teef already. I personally love Biged's Kicking boots, S How can you go wrong????? But him in a none Black orc unit to eliminate more animosity. Do not put him on a boar, you lose all perks for Armed to the Teef. Fantastic help, guys.
