Another 10 minutes later a gal takes our order. Did she quit? Was she fired? New girl comes up with our drinks and takes order. After nearly an hour a young chef comes out and starts his opening tricks. Manager comes over after 20 minutes of odd silence at the table. Manager says he had a family emergency here is a new chef.
New chef was great and really trying to connect with the table. A few mistakes made since it was not his cart he was working with lead to over an hours wait for food. Overall felt like a weird night. But nothing for the 2hours waiting. He did comp the 2 couples next to us which was bizarre. Since this is probably our first and last time in Las Vegas we will probably not return. We had a reservation but still waited over 30 minutes to get seated. We received our soup and salad but then the chef never arrived to cook our meal.

Worst service I have ever encountered at a restaurant. The waiter knocked the plastic fork holder on the the HOT griddle and left it there. It ended up melting on the griddle.
The fumes from the plastic was burning everyone at our table. We asked for the manager, he acted like it was no big deal. No apology. The melted plastic was still burning and burning our eyes while everyone ignored it. I again asked for the Manager and he tells me he will get a chef out right away!
Never received our appetizer. The Chef never told us someone else at the table had a sellfish allergy. He proceeds to cook their food first. It was at that point we had to walk out! Again the manager was no help! Offered us another reservation. We refused. Again, we refused. We never received any appetizers we ordered, I had a water and my husband had Diet Coke. We had a reservation at Got there at Waitress came over and we placed an order for our drinks. The table that got sat after us got their drinks before we did. Comes back, only has half of the tables drinks. We were there for an hour and 25 minutes and the only thing in had in front of me was a Diet Coke.

We had dinner reservations at pm. We were seated at 7 pm. We sat at our table for a half hour before we were greeted or asked for our drink order.
The waitress came back after a half hour with our drinks. Then they took our food order.. Our Teppan chef was wonderful however the service and length of time to be served was not acceptable.
I have eaten and many other Benihana locations and have never waited this long to served. I do understand the lack of staffing at all businesses due to Covid however reservations should be scheduled accordingly.
The food was excellent but service cast a shadow on our dining experience. Waiter was very prompt and very nice. Chef was excellent.
